We will be developing a visual guide to Offaly’s GHG emissions which will show the emissions coming from the Sectors in our B.R.E.A.T.H.E Index for each main Town in the County. This will then be translated into a map which we can update as we work towards lowering our emissions in line with EU and national targets over the next 20 years. The Ghg’o’meter will measure our progress overall:

The Irish government targets to decarbonise the country are ambitious and long overdue. Because of inaction to date we are now playing serious catch up! We have 30 years in which to achieve swift progress. Here in Offaly we aim to do this in a way in which our Communities become direct beneficiaries of this unprecedented transition.
